Has your business been slammed by Coronavirus?
If so, by now you’ve probably attempted (and hopefully succeeded) to find another way to carry on.
Maybe you’ve moved to online consulting
Maybe you’re selling a course or membership
Maybe you have launched a completely new service
Maybe you’re still figuring it out…
(If you need any help please feel free to book a *free* strategy session with a Game Changers coach - we’re here to help)
When things go back to normal (or some version of normal), it’s important that you don’t fall into complacency.
Because one massive lesson from this crisis is this:
We cannot know what’s around the corner.
All over the world, our way of life has been brought to its knees. Things we never imagined could happen are suddenly the new normal. At least, for now.
Eventually, this WILL be over.
But I believe that we are going to go through something like this again.
Maybe it will be a recession.
Maybe it will be a critical food shortage.
Most likely it will fallout from extreme weather events.
I’m not saying this to be a doom merchant.
I’m saying this because I want you to take the lessons from this current crisis, and keep your business prepared for whatever comes next.
What can you put in place NOW so that you NEVER go through the hardship of the last 3 months ever again?
How can you ensure that whatever happens, you’re in a position to:
Pivot quickly to a new model
Make decisions based on logic (not fear)
Innovate where needed to ensure your survival
A large part of this comes down to mindset. Most business owners reacted during this crisis in one of three ways:
Those who focus on preparation have been able to pivot quickly and restructure their business model to keep their heads above water.
In the past month our Opulence clients have shown incredible behavioural flexibility and redesigned their delivery models.
Pete M pivoted his group basketball training classes to an online membership model with daily drills and skills videos.
Nikola W has created a 12 week online Marketing Mastermind to replace her income from cancelled clients.
Alexandra P has created a ‘VIP’ delivery model for car servicing where the car is picked up, serviced, delivered back to your door, and disinfected.
Kylie H is offering private video tutoring for her gymnastics students.
Others are working on negotiating pay deals with their staff and planning for their relaunch when this crisis is over.
Because when it’s over, those who spent this time preparing will be the front runners when everyone reopens their doors.
