How To Take Your Business Remote And Stay Profitable During A Pandemic
We're in the midst of one of the greatest financial upheavals of all time.
The current climate has certainly impacted many, many businesses... and yet we're seeing so many businesses thrive. Even though they've been forced to shut down in their old model.
So today, I want to share a very basic and simple strategy that's going to ensure regardless of what business you're in right now, that you can guarantee to stay open and profitable during this pandemic. And in future times to come.
Recently I speaking to someone about a restaurant that they owned and was forced to shut down due to social distancing and everything else going on.
Now, the obvious option is to look at doing take away meals to keep cash coming in. That’s about it.
Yet, using a strategy called ‘one step back’, you can easily uncover a few other ways to keep the doors open. One step back simply involves looking at the end game for your consumers, and finding different ways to achieve the outcome they want by looking further up the chain.
For example, if the end outcome is getting served a delicious meal on a hot plate at a restaurant, sitting across the table from your partner or your kids or your friends or family… that’s the end game. It’s being fed an amazing meal.
But one step back before that is having someone deliver you that meal. So straight away, we now have an option. Can we do meal delivery? Can we use the kitchen to cook these meals and hire a delivery service to deliver those meals?
Taking one step back again, we had chefs prepare the meal. What options have we got here?
Can we produce boxes of ingredients and menu options to send to our current customer list? In business, most of you already have a current database of clients, of past clients, of prospective clients that have been shopping with you. You can go back to these clients and offer a box of fresh produce and a meal plan.
What's one step before that? What about opening up weekly or monthly cooking classes online?
The only thing stopping you is YOU
There are so many ideas out there, yet what's people from coming up with them is simply themselves. The more that you resist what's going on right now, the more pain you're going to feel.
The pain is in the resistance. The more that we try to hold on to what once was, the more we miss out on the opportunity to exist right now in this very moment.
The reality is people are stuck at home. Are they wanting to still live life as normal as possible? Hell yes!
So right now the opportunity is there, but it's your job to find that opportunity for your business. No one is going to do it for you. So look at using the one step back rule or methodology. Look at what your customer’s end goal is, and brainstorm other ways to help them get there.
Right now as a business owner, you are in a position to see more wealth, more financial growth in your business than ever before, providing you willing to let go of what once was and tap into your heart. Tap your intuition and start asking yourself different questions.
