The one thing I can guarantee you with certainty in business… is that there is no certainty in business.
Sometimes you’ll get stuck in procrastination or overwhelm.
Sometimes you’ll feel like you have no idea what you’re doing.
Sometimes you’ll feel like things are going great… and then the wheels will fall off and you’ll be sitting in the dust wondering what the hell happened.
All these things (and more) will happen along your journey.
Running a business is more like doing a series of small cross country sprints, than running a smooth path to your goals.
What’s important to remember is this:
At any point in time, being lost is OK.
Not knowing what to do is OK.
Not having a clear focus is OK.
Give yourself a damn break ❤
You’re not expected to know it all.
You’re not expected to be some machine that operates at peak performance 24/7.
If you’re holding yourself to massive expectations, you’re setting yourself up for sabotage.
Because sometimes we are not OK.
Sometimes we just need to rest for a while.
And that’s OK.
The more you can begin to trust your own intuition, listen to your heart, and stay in-tune with your feelings, the more successful you’ll be.
Look, there’s going to be times when you feel highly inspired and full of energy and enthusiasm.
During those points in your life, you’ll achieve an incredible amount in that short time.
Much more than you would if you spent 10 hours trying to force yourself into ‘the zone’.
There’s also going to be times when your subconscious self is trying to tell you to chill out. To give yourself some downtime and take a step back, reflect and refresh.
This doesn’t have to be about taking a holiday, or going out in nature, or going outside of our current environment… it’s about going to the environment within.
It’s about connecting with your inner self.
I strongly believe that we all have that ability to self-guide within ourselves.
And if we’re not trusting our intuition, our gut instinct… we’re going to be moving towards an experience of frustration, burnout, disconnection, and most likely a lot of conflict in life.
Every one of us has an internal barometer that lets us know how we should be taking care of ourselves and our business better.
But most of us haven’t learned how to self-calibrate it.
Because we spend too much time buying into the expectations of the world around us.
This is a huge focus for our Opulence members. Teaching them how to have a better relationship with themselves is an undercurrent of everything we do.
Because our relationship with ourselves is everything.
So take some time today to stop and reflect on your business, your life, and how you’re really feeling deep down. Connect from the heart.
And let me know what pops up.
