Scott Guerini is a 13-year old boy whose desire to help sick children propelled him to raise funds since he was 4. Like your average toddler, he walked around and toppled things over - only that what he toppled was the notion that children have no means to extend help to others.
Today, he has raised about $155,000 from walking 571 kilometers and founding Scott’s Great Walk foundation. This has helped a number of sick children and babies. Scott plans to continue and expand his mission by showing the world what a child like him has achieved to remind others that there is so much that can be done from so little.
Scott founded Scott's Great Walk for Telethon in 2010 when he was 4 years old. After learning about fundraising at 4 year old Kindy he started thinking about who he could help. He decided he wanted to help sick kids and babies by raising money for them doing the hardest thing he could think of - walking the 25km from his farm to the Southern Cross Oval. At present, he already raised $155,000 from walking 571 kilometers, wrote a book, and spoke to different events trying to change the world one step at a time.
